Nestled in New York's Flatiron District, Bar Stuzzichini has created a superb menu of entrees and "stuzzichini" or appetizers to offer an authentic Italian dining experience. Derived from the Italian verb stuzzichare, which means "to pick," Bar Stuzzichini knows there is nothing sweeter than enjoying a long meal over a sampling of delicacies.
Executive Chef Paul Di Bari's passion for cooking pervades every aspect of the restaurant—from the use of seasonal and imported ingredients to careful preparation of each dish to a selection of over 100 wines from Italy's twenty regions.
Photographs of Naples by renowned artist Salvatore Mancini accompany soft lighting, mosaic floors and rich mahogany interiors, all lending itself to a great lunch, dinner or snack at the bar. From the dining room or 9-seat "stuzzichini bar" you can watch Di Bari prepare items like "Cicoria", "Sarde" and "Polpette" over an open flamed charcoal grill or enjoy a selection of complex but graceful, authentic pastas and entrees like "Gnocchi all' Amatriciana," "Tagliolini con Pistacchio e Limone," "Coniglio alla Barese," "Braciole alla Pizzaiola" are more.
Bar Stuzzichini is devoted to delivering a memorable experience; one that transports you overseas to a place that embodies family, friends and good food.
