This plain little Murray Hill restaurant has been serving good and cheap southern Indian fare for years. The vegetarian menu includes items like rasam (spicy lentil soup), dosa (a crepe filled with potatos and onion) and thali (the set meal of the day). Madras Mahal also serves some standard North Indian Fare, and although dishes tend to be a little on the oily side it is a good value for the money.
