French interior designer Etienne Coffinier created the warm and comfortable environment at Aix, capturing the soul of Provence in the heart of the Upper West Side. The bi-level dining area is dominated by plush banquettes and rich, vibrant colors. Mirrors, louvers and sheer fabrics accentuate the bold hues of Provence: the almond green and saffron-colored fields, brilliant orange sun, fiery red tomatoes and berries, and dreamlike azure skies. The upstairs windows, their sheer panels decorated with a motif of squares, draw in a diffused light.
